Kintsugi Woman

Regular price £2,555.00 Sale

Kintsugi is the practice of repairing broken pottery with lacquer and gold - the philosophy being that the breakage and the repair are something to be celebrated rather than disguised.

Many women reflecting on a time after children and body changes over time don’t always feel at home in their bodies.

This piece aims to show all women that the journey is what makes us who we are today, we’re not broken, we’re beautiful.

using the chip board enhances the texture of the piece and the gold leaf swirls very organically, symbolising a rooting into the here and now.

17.1” x 37.2” mixed media on chipboard - including 20ct gold leaf.
